The SigLite® 1x5 models are our smallest, low-cost, pressure-sensitive electronic signature capture pads.
SigLite® 1x5 features all the high-quality biometric and forensic capture techniques of a SignatureGem tablet but with a low-cost touchpad and stylus in place of the more rugged digitizing pen and surface of the SigGem tablet series.
The "-BSB" and "-BBSB" models are Virtual Serial devices. Our "-BSB" and "-BBSB" signature pads are the recommended option for Remote Desktop, Citrix, and VDI environments. "-BSB" and "-BBSB" signature pads can also be used in a local environment.
Essentially the pads are Serial Devices with an integrated Serial-to-USB convertor, meaning that the attachment of the units is to an available USB socket on the PC or Terminal. Supported operating systems are Windows (local environment usage), or Windows, embedded Windows, Linux and MAC OSX 10.3 and above (in Citrix, Termianl Service or XenApp/RDC environments).
This model has a two-year Manufacturer's Warranty. However, even after this warranty period has passed (or if the repair is outside the terms of the warranty) we can offer a lifetime service to repair or refurbish the unit (if possible) for a modest charge.
The "-R" suffix, common to all our products denotes a product that is RoHS compliant. RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well.
We supply free software and tools to enable the successful adoption of our signature pads into your business.
Our free e-signature software supplied with every unit includes plug-ins for common office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat), and free software development toolkits for developed-integration into your own applications.
In addition, we also offer many worked examples of technologies and applications, and developer and end-user "how-to" guides. Developers have found these invaluable in experiencing working solutions rather than theoretical code. We provide code samples, and snippets that can be used in your own applications.
We have some ready-to-use components to make life easier for application developers. These include an Active-X control to manage signature capture, and a "SigCompare" utility that allows you to compare signatures captured with our technology "live", seeing the manner and style of the created signature in addition to the flat image.
We have a free technical support service at both end-user and development levels, and will be happy to assist any user or developer with successfully developing with, implementing and using our technologies.
